What This Policy Covers
This privacy policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use Tapshift: Flip (the “Game”), available on Apple App Store.
Data We Collect
Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The Game stores gameplay data (level progress, settings, hint balance, trophy unlocks, daily challenge streaks) using your device's local storage. This data:
- Never leaves your device
- Is not transmitted to any server
- Is deleted when you uninstall the Game
- Cannot be accessed by us or any third party
Data Collected by Third-Party Services
Google AdMob (Advertising)
- Purpose: Serving rewarded video advertisements
- Data collected: Device advertising identifier (IDFA, only if you grant permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt), device type, operating system version, IP address (for approximate location/ad targeting), ad interaction data, crash logs, and performance data (app launch time, hang rate)
- Legal basis: Consent (via App Tracking Transparency dialog). If you deny tracking permission, AdMob serves non-personalized ads using limited device signals
- Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal contact information
- We do not require account creation or login
- We do not collect location data
- We do not access photos, contacts, or data from other apps
- We do not use analytics SDKs (no Firebase Analytics, no Flurry, no Mixpanel)
- We do not have servers that store your data
How We Use Data
- Gameplay data (localStorage): Solely to save your progress and preferences
- Advertising data (via AdMob): To display ads and support the free version of the Game
In-App Purchases
The Game offers optional in-app purchases (Remove Ads, Hint Packs). These transactions are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment information.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with:
- Google (AdMob): for ad serving, as described above
- Apple: for in-app purchase processing and App Store distribution
All third-party service providers are required to provide the same or equal level of data protection as described in this policy. Google and Apple each maintain comprehensive data protection programs and are bound by their respective privacy policies and applicable data protection laws, including GDPR.
International Data Transfers
Google may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Google relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and other approved transfer mechanisms. See: Google’s data transfer frameworks.
Data Retention
- Local gameplay data: Stored until you uninstall the Game or reset progress
- AdMob data: Retained by Google per their data retention policies
Your Rights (EEA / GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Access — request what data is held about you
- Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure — request deletion of your data
- Data portability — request your data in a portable format
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Withdraw consent — revoke tracking consent via iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, or withdraw GDPR ad consent via the Privacy Settings option in the Game
- Lodge a complaint — with your local data protection authority. In Poland: UODO, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa
Since we do not store personal data on our servers, these rights are effectively exercised by:
- Denying or revoking tracking permission in iOS Settings
- Changing your ad consent preferences via Privacy Settings in the Game
- Uninstalling the Game (deletes all local data)
For any privacy requests: support@ludoshift.com
Children’s Privacy
Tapshift: Flip is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in certain EU jurisdictions, including Poland). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
App Tracking Transparency
On first launch, the Game displays Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. This is used solely for ad personalization via AdMob.
- Allow tracking: AdMob may use your device’s IDFA for personalized ads
- Deny tracking: AdMob serves contextual (non-personalized) ads. The Game works identically
Change this anytime: iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > Tapshift: Flip.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Game after changes constitutes acceptance.
